With our first born I documented every move she made and posted it to social media/previous blogs as fast as I could. I had so much time on my hands, often times my days were quiet and cuddly so I had all the time in the world to snap pictures and get them onto the computer for editing and posting. Adjusting to a second baby has been much more challenging to me than the first time around, so many fears of leaving one child out too often or worrying about my first baby adjusting to now being a big sister. I've definitely learned to roll with the punches while getting into a schedule asap. (My schedules are how I survive!)

So needless to say I am about four and a half months late getting this beautiful newborn session on the blog, but I am FINALLY doing it.

"So whenever you doubt just how special you are and you wonder who loves you, how much and how far, listen for the geese honking high in the sky. (They’re singing a song to remember you by.) Or notice the bears asleep at the zoo. (It’s because they’ve been dancing all night for you!) Or drift off to sleep to the sound of the wind. (Listen closely… it’s whispering your name again!)"

Decorating her bedroom was so much fun this time around because I knew exactly what I wanted and I had A LOT of help! Shout out to Amy + Whitney for some amazing things they made for the shower that I got to keep for her bedroom. Life is easier when your friends are crafty and kind!

I truly thought after having my daughter Adaline that I understood how fast time flies having, having two feels like a giant blur. We are already almost at her five month milestone and while I am looking so forward to all of these next stages I already miss her sweet newborn phase.

Like I mentioned before we were so nervous to leave either girls out but mostly our oldest since she has more of an understanding, we were so worried about how she would handle a new baby in a home she has only had to share with us. Nervous about how she would feel about us giving our attention to another child, but she handled it with so much grace. She has adjusted to her role as a big sister better than I could have imagined. From helping during bottle feedings to giving her the pacifier when she gets restless, one thing is for sure is that Addie takes her role as a big sister very seriously and she loves every moment of it. (So far)
