This session was filled with all of the positive vibes and fun times. Just going with it is something the Pearson family knows quite well. One piece of advice I give to families is to keep a smile on your face, no matter what you do or say, just smile because sometimes the best photos end up being the ones where we are talking or looking at our families/redirecting them. If we look mad then the photo just won't look as flattering. My second biggest advice is to just go with it, ESPECIALLY with kids or animals. Your kid doesn't want to look at the camera? Thats okay! Just look at them and tell jokes make them giggle, give a good tickle because we don't HAVE to be a picture perfect family all of the time! Someday you will look back and you don't want to see the fake posed smiles in every single photo, you want to see yourself playing with your babies before they grew up too fast. You're going to enjoy being able to look back on the laughter they blessed you with, the snuggles they wanted, the tickle monster games they loved to play so often, or swinging them while walking, climbing tree's and so much more. Before you know it these beautiful memories will be JUST memories and you're going to love that you captured them to look back on.

We put so much pressure on the kids to pose perfectly, telling them to stare at the camera until we get a good shot. Which in reality is unrealistic, they don't do that easily. More than likely they aren't even used to a camera being pointed at them so they are a little scared at first. But the sweet photo of Emmett smiling was taken just after playing and enjoying his time and rather than him being scared or not wanting to look at the camera he got used to my presence while playing and realized it wasn't so scary. It took a couple of times asking but I never pressured him smile I simply encouraged it and when he was ready he shined those bright pearly whites my way and stunned us all with his handsome happy face!

And sometimes we have to stop a session and take a moment to give the kids a little attention and love, and that is okay! All of my sessions are lifestyle and family friendly, therefore its always a just go with it environment. Check out Sweet Iris Handmade by Caitlyn Pearson on facebook!
